Poem.11 The Violinist

The Violinist

Rays of light ravish the dark,

Breaths are held as if in fear,

Awaited moment treading near,

Eddy devouring the Noah’s Ark.

----------------

A figure in black, drunk with awe

Hair in ponytail, by Euterpe crowned

Oceans of hurray, thus the silence drowned

Moments are devoured by the hour’s maw

-----------------------

Bow raised to enamor

And violin by the chin

Then a haughty grin

Blossoming glamour

---------------

Fingers of Muse charm

Notes to dance with grace

Melodious rhythms pace

Ears’ wall to disarm

Words of sweet euphony

Crown soprano’s chant

In violin’s veins pant

Notes of divine symphony

-----------------------

Soft strings of soul

Delved in pure fantasy

In harmony’s ecstasy

Mind and matter become whole

Poem.10 Wings...

Wings...
The haughty eagle soaring,
To heaven’s acme of pride,
Where Olympians abide,
And Zeus’s voice roaring

Wings stretched to eternity,
Eyes drunk with flames of lust,
Time withers as moments rust,
Claws sharpened with enmity.

Envy in veins wildly floats,
At Medusa’s glance the heart petrified,
All beneath eyes thus mortified,
Seed of greed in mind bloats,

Piercing clouds, an arrow flies,
Swift Hermes, Cupid’s dart
Arrow’s fang stings the heart
The dying eagle’s groaning cries…

Poem.9 Raging Reason

Rage of Reason

The thought doth knock,
On mind’s wooden doors,
Haughty reason roars:
“This is a deadlock!”

Raging reason calls,
Words armed with letters,
With chains and fetters,
To guard the mind’s walls.

Thought’s rosy fingers,
Fondle the mind’s hair,
Reason to despair,
With mind lingers.
The thought then lies,
In mind’s open arms,
Reason without charms,
Thus mournfully sighs.

Thus the battle won,
Thought tamed by words,
Winged lettered birds,
The poem is done!

Poem.8 Metropolitan Inferno

Metropolitan Inferno
---------------
Rusty rotten dirty domes,
Wound the Heaven’s azure heart,
Chimneys’ souls rise to part,
Black giants’ filthy foams.

Metal hooting centipedes,
Pierce the hills’ rocky chest.
Shaking the jungles’ breast,
Roaring saw on trunk feeds.

Life’s teasing irony,
Knife to cut on the barks
Save trees in the parks!
Man’s mocking destiny…

Poem.7 Drops

Drops

A drop

Dreams,

Drowns,

D

I

E

S

Life’s ruby dews
Adorn petals of face,
Hurried moments pace,
Pale fading hues.

Cascades of rolling pearls,
Drown the eyes of mine.
Dainty wreaths of vine,
Crown my darling’s curls.

Poem.6 Solitary Knight

Solitary Knight

Drunk with revenge, the knight pondered,
Lit the candles, took the oath
Die for honor, foe to loathe.
Wounding the henge, the wind wandered.

Armlets and poleyns, helmet and mace,
Bloodthirsty sword in scabbard,
The lance mocking the Holy Hazard,
The haughty knight arrayed with grace.

Gold medallions adorned the chest.
Shoulder bore the mighty bow.
The carved shield, feathered arrow.
Wild stallion gorged with zest.

Rusty chains yielded at the knight’s behest.
Wooden doors bowed as if in fear.
Sweating moments crawling near,
Feeble puppets in Heavens’ written gest.

With veins bloating and mane floating,
Earthly Pegasus spurred to rise.
Tiny ray of light drowns and dies.
Mourning eddy of sky’s coating.

Cedars and elms, oaks and ebonies’
Moaning twigs and sighing foliage,
Ridden fast in wind’s winged carriage.
The hoofs trample on dainty conies.

Crimson dews on the knight’s forehead
Relics of rotten thorny fingers
The hope melts away, fear lingers
Stars lulled to die on the night’s deathbed.

On brink of an abyss
Drew the steed’s rein
Guilty jealous Cain
By sin’s precipice

Heart’s hate to sate
Unsheathed the lance
The horse did prance
Taste Icarus’s fate…
